FINAL final eustace painting

alright, for your viewing pleasure......



this is it, i'm not going to work on it anymore haha. i finalized aslan's fadeout (he is supposed to fade - makes him feel more otherworldly - plus if i remember correctly he did magically transport to that location in the book). i also changed the surface of the water a bit, and.........i adjusted the boy's skin color. if anyone else tells me it's still too purple i just might cry -_-

just joshin' - but i don't think i will change the skin anymore. i like the way the added orange contrasts with the dragon skin, but i don't want to make him blend too much with the background. so.....there you go :)

new and improved eustace

so....after hours of intensive labor and a computer meltdown i have finished revising my "eustace" piece! although the original will always have a special place in my heart, i do think this one is much improved. i'm so excited! (especially about the wings and "shiny aslan"). the exhibit is still a while away, so i'll have plenty of time to get it printed. enjoy.......

sorry, guys, been trying to post for days but was having technical difficulties. anyway, i guess i'm a traitor now - i seem to keep drawing non-pixar movie characters :-O i drew this little guy after watching "how to train your dragon." cute movie and everything, plus dragons make everything better (unless it's "george and the dragon" - sorry, erika, i still hate that movie :P). so here is "toothless" - and if there are any diehard dreamworks fans out there, i KNOW i know the anatomy is off, this was just a sketch from memory drawn in my culture class.

sorry again for the delay, accessing blogs is such a chore over here. but i finally managed to maneuver my way through proxies and such....and here i am :) haven't drawn anything new yet, still in my resting-after-traveling-laziness. also the past couple days have been kind of crazy

anyway, i've decided to open the china vault. i'll be posting some of the things i sketched when...*ahem*....i was studying in class last semester :P there will definitely be new ones to come once classes start this time around. so here you go, take a look at my makeshift sketchbook. here is a dragon-dog. i really want one now. i wish i could have finished drawing his hind foot, but apparently i didn't plan the placement very well. what can ya do?

technical difficulties

so i sketched something today - i really did. it wasn't much, just a little graphite sketch of some cartoon face. unfortunately i seem to be a wee bit technologically impaired, and i can't figure out how to use the scanner. alas, i must wait until tomorrow when someone else is awake and can teach me. until then, here is a flashback to high school with a prisma drawing i call "story time."
