wednesday addams

so...i like the face. that's about all :P haha - the rest of it kind of frustrates me. oh well. i learned 2 things: 1, don't use watercolors on non watercolory paper, it will shred. and 2, repainting stuff in photoshop with a mouse, especially a mouse that doesn't really work, is a pain. i really need a touch tablet pen thing -_-

anyway, this was (mostly) done in watercolors. for those who don't know, this is wednesday addams, the adorably creepy girl from the addams family.

sorry everyone for the long stretch of boringness with the blog. i've been playing tour guide for the past week or so - i've had a great time seeing old friends, but running around the city is quite exhausting :P anyway, i've started another piece! nothing too fancy, just a character study of.....we will see who it is :P stay tuned!

sorry i've let my blog get quite boring lately :( don't have any new images to post yet - we are in midterms mode right now and i have a friend coming into town this weekend so i may be otherwise occupied. but...dun dun dunnnn my portfolio and other application stuff has been officially sent to pixar (a little while back actually :P) so there it is, it is out of my hands now, we will see what comes of it....

so i went on a drawing spree in class one day, and this is what came of it. still working my way up to an actual painting, we'll see we'll see. the weather has been beautiful outside recently, so it's hard to stay indoors.

the title pretty much says it all

well, just got through a hellish past week - let's just say i have a very low opinion of myself at the moment - but it's best to not talk of such things. i drew these faces in my boring class the other day, they are all quite sad. even the little mutated boy, who should be happy with his balloon, but alas, he is not. apparently i draw people's tears like they have chunky peanut butter oozing out of their eyeballs. i should probably draw more from life and work on getting better facial expression, but i might as well suck at drawing as well on my way to failing at life. yes, i'm a drama queen. no, i'm not being serious. or am i? just kidding. but seriously....

finally it worked!
sorry, guys, been trying to post for days but was having technical difficulties. anyway, i guess i'm a traitor now - i seem to keep drawing non-pixar movie characters :-O i drew this little guy after watching "how to train your dragon." cute movie and everything, plus dragons make everything better (unless it's "george and the dragon" - sorry, erika, i still hate that movie :P). so here is "toothless" - and if there are any diehard dreamworks fans out there, i KNOW i know the anatomy is off, this was just a sketch from memory drawn in my culture class.
